What the job is

This is a Service Ambassador position at Virgin Active South Africa, based in Cape Town, Western Cape. The role focuses on creating great experiences for gym members by engaging with them in person and online. It is a permanent job that helps keep members happy and coming back to the club.

What you will do

You will welcome members at the front desk and control access to the gym. You will answer questions and provide information to members and visitors. You will make sure members have a great experience from the moment they enter until they leave. You will follow all club rules, safety procedures, and administrative policies. You will encourage members to use digital fitness programs and join club events. You will also keep the gym floor clean and ensure members follow safety rules.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification. You need at least 12 months of experience in a customer-facing role. You should know how to use digital platforms and understand Virgin Active’s fitness programs. You must be passionate about exercise and enjoy working with people. Good communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills are required. A valid First Aid Level 1 certificate is also needed.
