What the job is

This is a Fitness Instructor position at Virgin Active South Africa, based in Cape Town, Western Cape. The role is part of the Clubs Coastal division and focuses on helping people lead active and healthy lives through fitness programs and member engagement.

What you will do

You will inspire and motivate members to stay active by conducting fitness initiatives and new member inductions. You will build strong relationships with members to improve retention and promote fitness products and services. You will ensure the health and safety of all members during activities and follow operational and administrative procedures. You will also keep up with industry trends through ongoing training and self-development.

What you need

You must have a Matric qualification and a recognized fitness certification. A minimum of 6 months of experience in the fitness industry is required, along with a First Aid qualification that includes AED certification. You should have experience in customer service and be comfortable working shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for helping people are essential.
