What the job is

This is a Service Ambassador position at Virgin Active South Africa in Cape Town, Western Cape. The role involves working in a gym environment to ensure members have a great experience from the moment they arrive until they leave. You will be part of a team that helps members feel welcome and supported in all areas of the club.

What you will do

You will control access to the gym and provide information to members and visitors. You will ensure members have a positive experience by following operational standards and procedures. You will engage with members to promote digital and in-person fitness offerings, resolve complaints, and build strong relationships. You will also maintain cleanliness and safety on the gym floor and encourage members to follow club rules and safety protocols.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent and at least 12 months of experience in a customer-facing role. You should have completed Reception Academy training and have a good understanding of digital platforms and Virgin Active’s services. Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills are essential. A First Aid Level 1 certificate is also required.
