What the job is

This is an opportunity for a registered Physiotherapist to run their own private practice from a premium wellness suite inside Virgin Active Edenglen in Edenvale, Gauteng. You will work as an independent contractor, using the Virgin Active facilities and member base to grow your business while collaborating with other health professionals in the club.

What you will do

You will provide physiotherapy consultations, rehabilitation, and performance optimization services to clients. You will manage your own bookings, client records, payments, and administrative tasks. You will maintain a regular presence in the club during peak member times. You will work with personal trainers and club teams to support the health and wellness journeys of members. You will follow all Virgin Active and HPCSA standards and codes of conduct.

What you need

You must be a registered Physiotherapist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and keep your registration current. You need valid Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability cover. You must have a current Level 1 First Aid certification with CPR and AED training. You should have a good understanding of musculoskeletal therapy, sports rehabilitation, and wellness practices. Experience with sports teams, orthopedic recovery, or chronic pain management is a plus, as are additional skills like dry needling, taping, or functional movement screening.
