What the job is

This is a job for a DC Finance Admin Manager at takealot.com, a leading online retailer in South Africa. The position is based in KwaZulu-Natal. What you will do

You will prepare monthly financial reports, including income statements and cost variance analysis. You will manage invoices, track expenses against the budget, and assist with annual budgeting and long-term planning. You will also handle workforce planning, such as preparing timesheets, managing overtime records, and working with temporary employment service providers. Additionally, you will oversee procurement tasks, like ordering supplies and packaging materials, managing supplier relationships, and participating in requests for proposals. You will lead a team of admin clerks, ensuring smooth finance and procurement processes for two distribution centers in Cape Town, and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.

What you need

You need a B.Comm or BTech degree in Accounting or Cost Accounting. You must have at least 5 years of relevant experience, including managing people. Experience with warehouse management systems like Oracle, SAP, or Logfire is required, along with strong skills in Microsoft Office. You should be comfortable with change, a good team player, and able to adapt to new systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work under pressure and challenge the status quo.
