Trainee Store Manager - Garden Route

What the job is Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for Trainee Managers to join their team in the Garden Route area, Western Cape. This is a permanent job where you will learn how to run a store under the guidance of an experienced manager. You will help with daily store operations and work towards becoming a store manager.

What you will do - Learn how to manage stock, including receiving goods, counting stock, and making sure stock levels are correct. - Help with store displays and promotions for products like food, health, and beauty items. - Assist with daily cash-ups and financial reports. - Work with other departments to meet sales targets. - Help manage staff, including scheduling, leave, and training. - Ensure the store is clean and follows Dis-Chem’s standards. - Handle customer complaints and feedback. - Follow company policies and safety rules.

What you need - Matric certificate. - 1 to 2 years of experience in retail store management, including stock control, cash handling, and customer service. - A Diploma in Finance, Administration, or a related field. - Good computer skills, especially in MS Office. - Willing to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays. - Valid driver’s license and your own reliable transport. - Clear credit and criminal records. - South African citizenship.
