What the job is

This is a Trainee Licensing Officer position at the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) in Gauteng. The role is a 2-year fixed-term contract focused on issuing and renewing aviation personnel licenses according to South African aviation rules and standards.

What you will do

You will receive and check license applications to ensure they meet the required regulations. You will process, verify, and send out applications on time, including those for foreign licenses and 30-day extensions. You will also handle customer inquiries by phone, email, or online, providing professional and courteous service. Additionally, you will track documents, ensure they are correctly invoiced, and assist with refunds. You will participate in training to improve your skills and help with meeting arrangements and minutes. You will also maintain the ISO system and update forms as needed.

What you need

You need at least a National Diploma in Administration or a related field. A degree in Administration is an advantage. You must have at least 1 year of administration experience, and 2 years of aviation licensing experience is ideal. You should be able to work well with customers, handle documents carefully, and meet deadlines.
