What the job is

This is a Store Manager position at PEP, a well-known retail company. The job is based in White River, Mpumalanga. As the Store Manager, you will lead the store team to achieve business goals, including increasing sales, controlling costs, reducing risks, and maintaining high store standards.

What you will do

You will increase sales by focusing on excellent customer service and maintaining a clean, attractive store. You will manage stock to ensure products are always available and promotions are properly implemented. You will reduce stock loss by following security measures and proper stock and cash handling procedures. You will control costs by running the store efficiently and following the company’s low-cost approach. You will also handle administrative tasks according to company guidelines. Leading and training the team, coaching staff, and managing performance will be part of your role. Additionally, you will ensure health, safety, and cleanliness standards are always met.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate and be fluent in English. A diploma or degree in business or retail is an advantage. You should have at least 1-2 years of experience in a retail leadership role. Computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office or Google GSuite, are beneficial. You need a strong passion for retail, integrity, and a willingness to go the extra mile. Good communication, leadership, and managerial skills are essential. You must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and be willing to work retail hours.
