What the job is

This is a Store Manager position at PEP, a well-known retail company. The job is based in Springs, which is in the East Rand area of Johannesburg, Gauteng. The role is permanent and focuses on leading a store team to achieve business goals and maintain high standards.

What you will do

You will lead a team to meet sales targets and control costs. Your responsibilities include driving sales by providing excellent customer service and maintaining high store standards. You will also manage stock to prevent losses, follow security and cash handling procedures, and ensure the store is clean and safe. Additionally, you will handle administrative tasks, train and coach your team, and ensure all work is done efficiently and according to company guidelines.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate and be proficient in English. A degree or diploma in business or retail is an advantage. You should have at least 1-2 years of experience in a retail leadership role. Computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office or Google GSuite, are beneficial. You need strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A passion for retail and a willingness to work retail hours are essential.
