What the job is

This is a Store Manager position at PEP, a well-known retail company. The job is based at the PEPCell store in Katlehong, Sontonga, which is in the East Rand area of Johannesburg, Gauteng. As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading the store team to achieve business goals and maintain high standards.

What you will do

You will increase sales by providing excellent customer service and keeping the store looking its best. You will manage stock to prevent losses by following security and cash handling procedures. You will control costs by running the store efficiently according to the company’s low-cost approach. You will also handle administrative tasks and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly. Leading and training the team will be a key part of your role, along with maintaining health, safety, and cleanliness standards in the store.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate and be fluent in English. A diploma or degree in business or retail is a plus. You should have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a retail leadership role. Computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office or Google GSuite, will be helpful. You need strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A passion for retail and a willingness to work flexible retail hours are essential.
