Assmang is looking for a skilled and dedicated person to join their team at the Black Rock Mine Operations, located about 80 kilometers northwest of Kuruman in the Northern Cape. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow and develop their career in the mining industry. The role involves ensuring quality control for stacks of materials produced at the mine.

What you will do:
- Follow safety, health, and environmental rules at all times and report any unsafe or dangerous situations.
- Participate in safety meetings to help maintain a safe work environment.
- Ensure stacks of materials meet quality standards and assist in organizing and numbering these stacks correctly.
- Assist in finding stacking areas when the system is not working properly, count the loads in each stack, and communicate with the sampling controller when a stack is finished.
- Verify stack numbers from the previous shift to ensure accuracy.
- Keep the work area clean and tidy.
- Collect daily samples and take them to the lab for testing, while tracking collected samples.
- Assist the sampling controller with duties such as team management and problem-solving.
- Act as a team leader for sampling staff when required.
- Help with special projects like taking samples for metallurgical balances or calibrating online analyzers.
- Ensure accurate sampling for fines, superfines, and moisture.
- Suggest practical ideas to improve processes and participate in team performance discussions.

What you need:
- Completed Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid driver’s license (Code B).
- Dover Symbol B certificate.
- Experience in stack control, sampling, or quality control in the mining industry (ideally 1-2 years).
