What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Procurement Specialist at Sun International, based in Sandton, Gauteng. The company operates in the banking, finance, and investment industry. The role focuses on managing the purchasing of goods and services in a cost-effective and compliant way.

What you will do

You will handle complex procurement and sourcing tasks to ensure the company gets the best value for goods and services. This includes analyzing spending patterns, leading competitive bidding processes, and negotiating contracts with suppliers. You will also manage relationships with key suppliers, provide expert procurement advice to other teams, and ensure all purchasing follows company policies and ethical standards. Additionally, you will track supplier performance and make sure service level agreements are met.

What you need

You must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field, along with a CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply. A CIPS Level 5 or Advanced Diploma, and certifications in Contract Management, Negotiation, or Vendor Management are preferred. You need 8 to 10 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, including experience with operational sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, and spend analysis. Knowledge of e-procurement systems like SAP Ariba and ERP modules is required. Experience in hospitality, gaming, or multi-site operations is a plus.
