What the job is

This is a Paid Media Manager position at Brandesign, a company based in Plumstead, Cape Town. You will be responsible for managing paid advertising campaigns for one of their largest retail clients, working with platforms like Google and Meta. As the team grows, you will also oversee another team member reporting to you.

What you will do

You will handle the entire paid media process, including creating strategies, building campaigns, optimizing performance, managing budgets, and reporting results. You will run ads on Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Demand Gen, YouTube) and Meta, and attend client meetings to present performance and justify recommendations. You will also conduct structured tests for creative, audiences, bidding, and landing pages, and ensure accurate tracking and measurement using tools like GA4 and Conversion API. Additionally, you will mentor team members, review their work, and collaborate with other departments to improve campaign effectiveness.

What you need

You must have at least three years of experience in paid media, preferably in retail or e-commerce. You should be highly skilled in Google Ads, especially Shopping and Performance Max, and have experience fixing product feeds. Knowledge of Meta Ads Manager, including catalog management and creative testing, is required. You must also understand GA4, attribution, and tracking tools like Conversion API and Consent Mode v2. Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, clear writing, and confident presentation abilities are essential. Experience with restricted advertising categories on Meta, server-side tagging, and POPIA compliance is a plus. Agency experience or the ability to manage client relationships is also important.

What you will get

The salary for this full-time position is R26,500 per month, negotiable as a cost-to-company package. This is a permanent role with opportunities for growth as the team expands. You will work on-site in Plumstead, Cape Town, and must have your own transport.
