What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Human Capital Officer at Botswana Savings Bank, located in Gaborone, Botswana. The role involves supporting the Human Capital Business Partner with daily tasks and administrative work related to human resources.

What you will do

You will help create, develop, and implement company policies and procedures. You will assist in the recruitment process by advertising job openings, identifying potential candidates, and communicating with them. You will also coordinate interviews and other recruitment activities. Additionally, you will provide recommendations to management on employee disciplinary actions, such as warnings, suspensions, or terminations. You will coordinate exit interviews and arrange details for grievance hearings or other meetings. Other related tasks may be assigned by the Human Capital Business Partner.

What you need

You must have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field. You need at least two years of work experience in general human capital management. Experience with the SAGE system is a plus. You should also be proficient in using Microsoft Office tools. Key skills include critical thinking, effective communication, planning and organization, multi-tasking, being results-driven, clerical skills, and relationship management.
