What the job is

What you will do

You will monitor and analyze the bank’s credit portfolio performance to identify emerging risks and trends. You will develop strategies to optimize the credit portfolio, including risk-based pricing, segmentation, and stress testing. You will create and maintain Expected Credit Loss (ECL) models that comply with IFRS 9 standards to estimate credit losses. You will prepare periodic risk reports, track key risk indicators, and develop dashboards to present insights to senior management. You will also conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to assess the loan book’s resilience under different economic conditions. Additionally, you will work with regulators, auditors, and other stakeholders on credit risk matters and support digital transformation initiatives.

What you need

You need a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Professional certifications like Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), or Professional Risk Manager (PRM) are a plus. You must have 5 to 7 years of experience in credit risk management, portfolio management, or financial modeling within a banking environment. Strong expertise in IFRS 9 and ECL modeling, as well as proficiency in data analytics tools such as SAS, Python, R, or SQL, is required. You should also have strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with the ability to work under pressure.
