What the job is

This is a Hotel Supervisor position at Sun International in Cape Town. The role involves overseeing the daily operations of the hotel to ensure guests receive a high-quality experience. You will work closely with staff, business partners, and concessionaires to maintain service standards and resolve any guest concerns.

What you will do

You will implement and enhance the customer experience at every stage of their stay, from arrival to departure. This includes conducting shift briefings, managing promotions, and ensuring the smooth running of hotel operations such as transport and event setups. You will interact with guests to build relationships and address their needs, while also supervising staff appearance, equipment functionality, and overall operational standards. Additionally, you will handle guest complaints, monitor feedback across various channels, and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards. You will also train staff, manage performance reviews, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve service offerings.

What you need

You must have a 3-year Hotel School Diploma or equivalent qualification. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry is required, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Previous experience in duty management is an advantage. You should be able to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as needed by the hotel’s operations.
