We are looking for an organized and detail-focused Debtors Coordinator to join the finance team at Pepkor Lifestyle, based in Sandton, Gauteng. This role involves managing accounts receivable, ensuring payments are collected on time, and maintaining accurate records of customer accounts. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to handle customer concerns professionally.

Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze reports from different systems to ensure payments are correctly matched and recorded.
- Handle customer queries by following up on unresolved issues and processing refunds when needed.
- Manage customer complaints, resolving them quickly or escalating to the appropriate team.
- Monitor and reconcile customer accounts regularly to identify and correct errors or discrepancies.
- Prevent fraud by carefully reviewing credit card transactions and chargebacks from banks.

Requirements:
- At least a Grade 12 qualification (a bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field is preferred).
- 3 to 5 years of experience in collections or credit control.
- Knowledge of online retail systems and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other accounting software.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to resolve payment issues with customers.
- Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of legal rules related to debt collection is a bonus.
