Merchandise Planner

We are looking for a Merchandise Planner to join the Pepkor Lifestyle team in Sandton, Gauteng. This role is perfect for someone who loves retail and has a strong eye for detail. You will work closely with the planning team to ensure the right products are available at the right time, helping the company grow and stay competitive.

As a Merchandise Planner, you will create plans for products before and during the selling season to match the company’s goals. You will analyze sales data, market trends, and past performance to forecast product demand and set prices. Working with teams like buying, product development, and marketing, you will ensure these plans are executed smoothly.

You will monitor stock levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts, maintain strong sales performance, and reduce waste. Creating reports and using data-driven insights will be key aspects of your role. You will also collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective product deliveries, plan promotions, and verify stock accuracy.

Requirements include a degree in retail management, merchandising, business administration, or a related field, along with at least 2 years of experience in merchandise planning or stock management. Strong data analysis skills (e.g., Excel) and clear communication are essential. Experience with merchandise planning software (e.g., JDA, Retalon) is a plus.
