Auxiliary Nurse - Port Elizabeth

What the job is Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for an Auxiliary Nurse to work in their clinic in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. You will help with basic nursing care and support patients before they see the doctor or nurse. Your job is to make sure patients are ready for their check-up and keep good records.

What you will do - Welcome patients and check their details. - Ask why they are visiting the clinic. - Take and record vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight. - Tell the nurse if any readings are not normal. - Help with basic health checks as needed. - Update patient records on the computer. - Make sure all forms are filled out correctly. - Keep the clinic area clean and safe. - Follow health and safety rules. - Work with the nurse, doctors, and other staff. - Be polite and professional with everyone. - Attend meetings and training when needed.

What you need - Matric certificate. - A certificate in Auxiliary Nursing or a similar qualification. - Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC). - 1 to 3 years of experience in a clinic or healthcare setting. - Good with computers, especially MS Office. - Must speak English and another language well. - Good communication and listening skills. - Understand basic nursing and patient care. - Must be registered with SANC. - Willing to work retail hours. - Physically fit to stand for long periods. - Clear credit and criminal record.
