Auxiliary Nurse

What the job is Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for an Auxiliary Nurse to work in their clinic in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. You will help patients before they see the doctor or nurse. Your job is to check basic health signs and keep records up to date.

What you will do - Welcome patients and check their details. - Ask why they are visiting the clinic. - Take and record vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight. - Check blood sugar if needed. - Tell the nurse if any signs are not normal. - Help with basic health checks. - Make sure patient records are correct and up to date. - Help patients sign forms and documents. - Keep the clinic area clean and safe. - Follow rules to stop infections. - Work with nurses, doctors, and other staff. - Follow instructions from the nurse in charge. - Help patients move through the clinic smoothly.

What you need - Matric certificate. - A certificate in Auxiliary Nursing (or similar). - Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC). - 1 to 3 years of experience in a clinic or healthcare setting. - Must be good with computers, especially MS Office. - Must speak and write English and another language well. - Must be able to stand for long periods. - Must have a clear criminal record.
