What the job is

This is a full-time position for an Automation Quality Assurance Specialist at Flash, a fintech company based in Western Cape. The role focuses on ensuring software quality through testing and automation processes.

What you will do

You will create detailed test cases, both manual and automated, following industry standards. You will provide feedback to improve quality assurance practices and solve problems by analyzing the root causes of defects. You will track defects from start to finish to ensure they are resolved properly. You will also research new testing tools and technologies to improve the testing process. Additionally, you will build and maintain testing frameworks, demonstrate testing strategies to stakeholders, and contribute to improving quality across the QA team.

What you need

You need a relevant IT qualification and certifications such as ISEB/ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Test Analyst/Automation Engineer. You should have 2-5 years of testing experience and 0-2 years of automation experience. Technical skills required include knowledge of a development language like Java, JavaScript, or Python, experience with test automation frameworks, and familiarity with tools like Rest Assured, Microsoft Azure, DevOps, and CI/CD processes. Strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and experience in coaching others are also important.
