What the job is

This is a position for an AI Engineer at Rosstone Professional Solutions, based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The role involves working with advanced AI tools like Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry to create smart solutions for businesses. You will be part of a team that builds and improves AI systems to help companies work more efficiently.

What you will do

You will design, build, and deploy AI agents and copilots using Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry. You will create scalable AI solutions, including orchestration pipelines and applications that use retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). You will connect AI systems to other business tools through APIs, data platforms, and cloud services. You will also deploy and optimize AI agents across platforms like Microsoft Teams and Power Platform. Additionally, you will ensure that all AI solutions follow security, governance, and responsible AI practices. You will monitor and improve the performance of AI systems and mentor team members to share best practices.

What you need

You should have 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, or similar AI platforms. You must have a proven track record of building and deploying AI, machine learning, or generative AI solutions. Knowledge of agent-based systems, conversational AI, and RAG pipelines is required. Strong skills in Python and API integration are essential. Experience with the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including data integration and cloud services, is also needed. Familiarity with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Agile, SAFe, and DevOps practices will be beneficial.
