Administrator Position at Rhodes University Biotechnology Innovation Centre (RUBIC)

Rhodes University Biotechnology Innovation Centre (RUBIC) is looking for an Administrator to join their team. This is a permanent position based in Makhanda, Eastern Cape. The job focuses on supporting administrative and financial operations of the centre, including managing laboratory operations, science communication, and administrative controls. Responsibilities include providing reporting services to research groups and the Director of RUBIC, financial administration (budget management and account reconciliation), procurement, and supporting staff, researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and postgraduate students. Qualifications: Matric certificate (Grade 12) with at least 2 years of relevant administrative experience, including 1 year in financial administration. Strong organizational skills and teamwork are essential. Salary: R281,302 - R391,639 per annum (including benefits).
