What the job is

This is a Youth Employment Programme Coordinator position at Motus Corporation, working under Hyundai SA in Germiston, Gauteng. The role is part of the Yes Programme, which aims to help young South Africans gain skills and work experience through various employment initiatives.

What you will do

You will work with different teams and external partners to create and run youth employment programmes. You will assess what skills young people need and develop training materials to match job market demands. You will manage the programme budget, track progress, and report on results. You will also organise workshops and events to prepare youth for employment and build partnerships with businesses and community groups to offer job placements and mentorship. Additionally, you will provide support and guidance to programme participants throughout their journey.

What you need

You should have experience in programme management, project coordination, or a similar field. A strong understanding of youth employment challenges in South Africa is essential. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse groups, including government bodies and NGOs. The ability to analyse data and use it to improve programmes is important. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software is required. Preferred qualifications include experience in non-profit or social development, familiarity with grant writing, and relevant degrees in social sciences or education.
