What the job is

This is a Youth Employment Programme (Yes Programme) role at Motus Corporation, working under Hyundai SA in Germiston, Gauteng. The job is a contract position focused on helping young South Africans gain skills and work experience through special projects and partnerships.

What you will do

You will work with different teams and outside groups to create and run programmes that help young people find jobs. You will check what skills and job opportunities are missing for young individuals and make training materials to fill those gaps. You will manage the programme’s budget and resources, track how well the programme is doing, and report on the results. You will also organise workshops and events to help young people get ready for work and build partnerships with businesses and community groups to offer job placements and mentorship. You will support and guide participants throughout the programme.

What you need

You need experience in managing programmes, coordinating projects, or a similar field. You should understand the challenges young people face when looking for jobs in South Africa. Strong communication and people skills are important, as well as the ability to work with different groups like government and NGOs. You should be able to analyse data to make decisions and adjust programmes as needed. You must be good with Microsoft Office and project management tools. A commitment to empowering others and promoting fairness is essential. Preferred qualifications include experience in non-profit work, grant writing, or a degree in social sciences, education, or a related field. Project management certification is a plus.
