What the job is: This job is for a Trainee Store Manager position at Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Cape Town, covering both the Southern and Northern Suburbs. You will work under the guidance of a store manager to learn how to run a retail pharmacy store. The role involves hands-on experience in managing daily store operations, stock, sales, and customer service.

What you will do:
- Manage store stock by checking and updating inventory, ensuring stock levels match the system, and handling stock counts.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining promotional displays for FMCG, health, and beauty items.
- Support receiving deliveries, checking incoming goods, and ensuring correct paperwork.
- Help meet sales targets for FMCG, health, and beauty products by planning promotions and tracking market trends.
- Assist with daily cash handling, reconciling sales, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Support customer service by handling complaints, managing customer requests, and encouraging loyalty program sign-ups.
- Assist with staff-related tasks like managing leave, scheduling, and updating employee records.
- Attend meetings, workshops, and training sessions as part of the trainee program.

What you need:
- Completed Matric (Grade 12).
- 1-2 years of experience in retail store management, including stock management, cash handling, reporting, expense control, and customer service.
- Comfortable using computers, especially Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to work retail hours (evenings, weekends, holidays).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
