What the job is

This is a full-time Telemarketing Agent position at homechoice, a well-known South African homeware retailer. The company has been helping customers create beautiful and affordable homes for over 40 years. The job is based in Cape Town, Western Cape, and is a permanent role in a fast-paced contact centre environment.

What you will do

You will drive sales by making outbound calls to potential customers and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets. Your main tasks will include presenting and promoting products, confidently handling objections, and closing deals. You will also maintain high productivity and quality standards, update customer information accurately, and represent the homechoice brand professionally. Additionally, you will work in a high-pressure, target-driven environment and adapt to challenges while staying resilient.

What you need

You must have a Matric (Grade 12) qualification and a clear criminal and ITC record. At least 2–3 years of proven outbound sales or telemarketing experience in a contact centre is preferred. You should have strong objection-handling and closing skills, excellent verbal communication, and fluency in English and at least two other South African languages. Proficiency in MS Office applications and experience with dialler systems are also required. You must be target-driven, able to sustain high performance, and not be debarred under the FAIS Act.
