What the job is

This is a Social Media Manager position at Make it Good, a creative agency based in Knysna, Western Cape. What you will do

You will develop and manage social media strategies for multiple clients, ensuring they align with brand goals and key performance indicators. You will plan and oversee monthly and quarterly content calendars across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Your role includes creating content from concept to publishing, managing client accounts, and leading monthly check-ins to present performance insights. You will also collaborate with community management, strategy, creative, and influencer teams to keep campaigns on track. Additionally, you will assist with paid social ads, review analytics to inform content decisions, and report on channel performance with actionable recommendations.

What you need

You need at least 5 years of experience as a Social Media Manager, preferably in an agency setting where you managed multiple client accounts. You should have a proven track record of creating social strategies and content that deliver measurable results. Hands-on experience with content creation and scheduling tools like Sprout, Tagger, or Figma is required, along with knowledge of paid social and Ads Manager. Strong analytical skills, excellent copywriting, and client-facing presentation abilities are essential. You must be based in or willing to relocate to Knysna and legally able to work in South Africa.

What you will get

The salary ranges from R30,000 to R40,000 per month, depending on experience, and includes a lucrative bonus structure that can be two to three times your monthly salary. Benefits include a gym subsidy, learning and development support, and a relaxed, collaborative work environment. The job starts with remote work for the first three months if you are not in Knysna, after which relocation to Knysna is required, with hybrid work options available.
