What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Showroom Manager at homechoice, a well-known South African homeware retailer. The role is based at the Springs Mall Showroom in Springs, Gauteng. homechoice has been helping customers create beautiful, affordable homes for over 40 years, and this role is key to maintaining that reputation.

What you will do

You will manage the daily operations of the showroom, ensuring sales targets are met and customers receive excellent service. Your responsibilities include leading the team to improve sales performance, coaching staff on upselling and customer engagement, and monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly sales results. You will also handle customer complaints, ensure promotions are correctly implemented, and maintain high standards of store presentation and stock management. Additionally, you will manage financial controls, including expenses, cash handling, and stock shrinkage, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

What you need

You must have at least 5 years of experience in a retail or sales-driven environment and 5 years of experience leading and managing teams. A Matric certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent is required, along with a tertiary qualification in Retail, Sales, or Marketing. Strong computer skills, including experience with retail systems and MS Office, are essential. You should also have excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, and be able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. A clear credit and criminal record is mandatory.
