What the job is: This job is for a Sales and Customer Associate at homechoice, a well-known South African homeware retailer. For over 40 years, homechoice has helped customers create beautiful and affordable homes with quality products. You will work at the Pan Africa Shopping Centre showroom in Alexandra, Gauteng. The role involves helping customers, selling products, and ensuring they have a great shopping experience.

What you will do: You will greet customers and understand their needs to help them find the right products. Your job includes demonstrating products, explaining features, and promoting special offers or discounts. You will meet sales targets and ensure smooth transactions from product selection to payment and returns. You will handle customer inquiries, escalate complex issues to a supervisor, and maintain honesty and clarity in all interactions.

You will need to know product details, pricing, and promotions, ensuring accurate sales and compliance with company policies. You will process orders, payments, refunds, and documentation while assisting with stock tasks like product placement and showroom maintenance.

You will follow company policies, handle cash securely, and report issues to your supervisor. You may work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

What you need: At least a Matric (Grade 12) qualification is required. Retail sales experience, especially with sales targets, is preferred. Good communication skills, professionalism, and attention to detail are essential. A clean criminal and credit record is mandatory.
