What the job is

This is a Senior Store Person position at Eskom, a company in the electricity, energy, and water supply industry. The job is based at Ingula Power Station in Ladysmith, KwaZulu-Natal. It is a permanent role focused on providing effective warehouse services within the Generation department.

What you will do

You will perform warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and issuing items. You will also conduct preservation activities and operate materials handling equipment when needed. Additionally, you will follow the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and health and safety regulations. Administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and inventory management, will also be part of your responsibilities.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate (NQF Level 4 with 120 credits) or equivalent. At least 2 years of experience in stores and stock management is required. You should be skilled in operating material handling equipment, solving problems, and using computers, including SAP software. Strong communication, numeracy, and warehouse skills are essential. You must also be accountable, proactive, punctual, and trustworthy, with no physical or mental constraints that could affect your work.
