What the job is

This is a Senior Sales Manager position at The Make it Good Company, based in Cape Town. The company works in vocational education, training young artisans in South Africa to become skilled, ethical, and globally competitive professionals. They are opening a new campus in Cape Town and need someone to build and lead the sales team from the ground up.

What you will do

You will drive business-to-business (B2B) sales by forming partnerships with employers, manufacturers, funders, and scholarship providers. You will build strong, value-driven relationships that lead to apprentice placements. You will lead and coach a sales team, making sure they perform well and meet targets. You will manage relationships with senior stakeholders in funding and employer networks. You will use CRM data to make decisions and track the team’s performance.

What you need

You need at least 8 years of experience in B2B sales or business development. You must have 5 or more years in a senior leadership role, with a proven track record of building high-performing teams. You should have experience in consultative selling and creating value-based partnerships. Strong coaching and accountability skills are required, along with the ability to improve underperforming teams. You must be comfortable working with CRM systems and data-driven sales. Excellent relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders are essential. A genuine passion for youth development, education, and social impact is important. Experience in education, training, or a related sector, as well as Salesforce knowledge, would be a bonus.

What you will get
