What the job is

This is a role for an Affiliate Manager at The Make it Good Company, based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The company works in the eSIM and international roaming industry, helping travelers stay connected globally. They have two main business areas: a B2B side that supplies eSIMs to banks and global partners, and a B2C travel eSIM brand. This role will focus mainly on the B2C side, building and managing the affiliate program from scratch in a fast-paced startup environment.

What you will do

You will develop and own the entire affiliate strategy, deciding how the program grows and scales. You will manage the affiliate platform, such as Awin, including setting up commission structures, onboarding publishers, and generating reports. You will review and approve affiliates and publishers to prevent fraudulent or low-quality traffic from entering the program. You will also manage the affiliate budget, making decisions on high-value placement deals with major partners. Additionally, you will build and maintain relationships with global partners, coordinate with the company’s PR agency when needed, and ensure the affiliate channel drives significant growth.

What you need

You must have hands-on experience running an affiliate program on a recognized platform like Awin or Impact. You should have a proven track record of growing an affiliate channel, with specific examples to discuss. Strong judgment is required to vet partners and identify fraud risks before they impact the business. You need to be comfortable managing a budget and making commercial decisions, not just following someone else’s plan. Resilience and thick skin are essential, as this is a fast-paced environment with direct feedback. Strong communication skills are a must to build relationships with partners you may never meet in person.

What you will get

The salary ranges from R55,000 to R90,000 per month, cost-to-company, depending on experience. There is also a strong performance bonus structure tied to the growth you drive. The work model is hybrid, with two days a week in the office in Rivonia, Johannesburg, and core working hours from 9 AM to 3 PM. Some remote work is allowed, and the role offers the opportunity to build the affiliate function from the ground up in a scaling business.
