What the job is

This is a job for a Senior Manager at Pedros, a restaurant company. The position is based in Paarl, Cape Town, in the Western Cape province. It is a permanent role, and you will be part of a team opening a new store, helping to build a strong store culture from the start.

What you will do

You will oversee the overall operation of the restaurant or takeaway, ensuring food quality and following Pedros standard procedures. You will manage stock control, purchasing, and orders, and handle customer complaints while maintaining high service levels. You will work to maximize profitability, meet sales and profit targets, and motivate staff to do the same. You will manage staff, including discipline, work schedules, and performance evaluations. You will also ensure health and safety regulations are followed, conduct daily opening and closing procedures, and lead marketing activities. Additionally, you will handle customer service complaints, implement training programs for staff development, and recruit and select new team members.

What you need

You need at least 3 years of experience in restaurant and fast-food service. Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is an advantage. You must have strong management, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Good customer service and verbal communication skills are also required.
