What the job is

This is a full-time Senior Manager position at Pedros, a well-known restaurant chain. The job is based in Paarl, Cape Town, Western Cape, and is part of an exciting new store opening. You will be part of a dynamic team helping to launch and grow the new location from the start.

What you will do

You will oversee the daily operations of the restaurant and takeaway, ensuring food quality and service meet Pedros standards. You will manage stock control, purchasing, and orders, and handle customer complaints to maintain high service levels. You will also work to maximize profits by meeting sales and profit targets, motivating staff, and managing work schedules and discipline. Additionally, you will ensure health and safety rules are followed, conduct daily opening and closing procedures, and lead marketing and promotional activities. You will train and develop staff, hold regular team meetings, recruit new employees, and evaluate their performance.

What you need

You must have at least 3 years of experience in restaurant or fast-food service. Experience with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is a plus. Strong management, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required. You should also have excellent customer service and verbal communication abilities.
