What the job is

This is a Senior Human Resources Manager position at Eskom, a leading company in the electricity, energy, and water supply industry. The job is based in Sunninghill, Gauteng, and is a permanent role. You will report to the General Manager of Human Capital and play a key role in shaping and implementing HR strategies for the Group Capital Division.

What you will do

You will develop and lead the HR strategy, policies, and processes for the division. Your responsibilities include managing HR operations, setting the direction for HR practices, and leading Eskom’s HR projects and transformation initiatives. You will also provide high-level HR advice, ensure HR processes are integrated across the business, and oversee transformation planning for the HR function. Additionally, you will act as a business partner to help position the HR function effectively within the organization.

What you need

You must have a Bachelor’s Degree or B Tech in Human Resources, Behavioral Sciences, Social Sciences, or Management at NQF level 7 with 360 credits. You also need at least 10 years of experience in senior management and HR practices. Key skills include professionalism, integrity, leadership, change management, negotiation, and project management. You should have excellent knowledge of HR, Eskom’s structure, labor laws, and trade union agreements, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
