What the job is: You will manage the buying of materials and services that the company needs. You will work with suppliers, negotiate deals, and find ways to save money. The company works in the chemical manufacturing industry. What you will do: - Find and buy good quality materials and services for the company. - Build strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate good deals. - Create plans to buy materials at the best prices. - Check how well suppliers are doing and solve any problems. - Place orders and make sure materials arrive on time. - Keep track of contracts and make sure they are followed. - Find new suppliers and materials to improve the buying process. - Look at buying data to find ways to save money and work better. - Work with other teams to make sure the company gets what it needs. - Keep records of buying activities and savings. - Improve the buying process and supplier performance.
