What the job is

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join the iOCO team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This is a contract role where you will work closely with clients and development teams to understand and improve business processes through technology solutions.

What you will do

You will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on projects. You will challenge business thinking to fully understand their needs and gather, analyze, and document business requirements clearly. You will write user stories, epics, and features following agile principles to support development teams. Additionally, you will help prioritize work for delivery teams and analyze existing products to find opportunities for improvement and innovation.

What you need

You must have at least 6-7 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in custom software development. Experience with Agile and Scrum principles is required, along with at least 3 years of experience in Agile projects. You should be skilled in writing user stories and understanding technical specifications like Open API, JSON, and XML. A degree, diploma, or certification in business analysis (such as IIBA) is also required. Strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
