What the job is

This is a Senior Art Director role at Make it Good, a well-known advertising agency in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The company is hiring for a top creative position to work on a major financial services account. The job is based in Bryanston, with a hybrid work model allowing some remote work.

What you will do

You will lead the creative direction for a high-profile financial services client, developing big ideas and turning them into finished campaigns. Your work will include creating innovative concepts that drive business results across digital, social, and traditional platforms. You will define and protect the visual style of campaigns from start to finish. You will present ideas to senior clients and internal teams, lead brainstorming sessions, and mentor junior designers. You will also manage multiple projects at once, compile client presentations, and help with new business pitches while working closely with strategy and client service teams.

What you need

You must have at least 6 years of experience in an advertising or brand agency, with a strong background in conceptual work. Experience in financial services or corporate branding is a big plus. You must include a portfolio link with your CV, showing strong conceptual and through-the-line campaign work, ideally in financial or corporate branding. You should be confident presenting to senior clients, have excellent design skills in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Keynote, and have great written and verbal communication. Attention to detail is critical, and you need a relevant degree in design, advertising, or a related field.

What you will get

The salary ranges from R55,000 to R70,000 per month, depending on experience. The job offers a hybrid work model with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
