What the job is
A company in Johannesburg is looking for a Sales Team Leader to manage and grow their outbound sales team. You will first take charge of an existing team that already works well. Later, you will build and lead a new local team in South Africa. This job is a mix of managing a team and doing hands-on sales work yourself.

What you will do
Manage an existing offshore sales team. Set targets, check performance, and make sure the team meets its goals.
Build and lead a new sales team in South Africa. Hire, train, and coach new team members.
Improve the sales process using data and testing new ideas.
Test new sales messages and strategies before rolling them out to the team.
Use tools like LinkedIn and email to find and contact potential customers.
Work with other teams like Customer Success and Marketing to share insights.
Track and report on team performance and sales experiments.
Create training materials and improve sales documents.

What you need
At least 4 years of experience in sales, especially in outbound sales or business development.
Experience leading or coaching a sales team.
Good at cold calling, email campaigns, and using multiple ways to reach customers.
Experience selling to marketing or sales leaders is a plus.
Knowledge of sales tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, and Lemlist.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Self-motivated and able to manage a team while building a new one.
