Sales Person for Concrete Products

What the job is A manufacturing company in Pretoria, Gauteng, makes concrete products like paving bricks and kerbs. They need a sales person to sell these products to customers. You will work with both new and existing customers to meet sales goals.

What you will do - Keep in touch with current customers by visiting them and calling them. - Find new customers and introduce them to the company’s products. - Learn about the products so you can explain them to customers. - Go to meetings with customers and the team. - Give product samples to customers. - Collect information about the market and customers and share it with your manager. - Update the customer database. - Tell customers about new products and special deals. - Check if products are in stock. - Take orders correctly and follow up to make sure they are delivered. - Record all customer visits and sales activities. - Understand what customers need and how their business works. - Look for new sales opportunities. - Meet or beat sales targets every month. - Spot market trends and suggest changes to products. - Help with sales enquiries and tenders in the office when needed. - Join marketing campaigns and work extra hours sometimes.

What you need - Finished high school (Matric). - Worked in sales before, especially selling concrete products like paving bricks and kerbs. - A proven record of selling these products. - A valid driver’s licence. - Know the Pretoria area well. - Good at talking and listening to people. - Can negotiate and influence others. - Good at planning and managing time. - Can work under pressure. - Know how to use a computer, including email, Excel, and Word. Experience with Pastel or Sage is a plus. - Hardworking, honest, and willing to learn. - Willing to take an integrity test.
