What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Sales and Backorder Assistant at BCE FoodService Equipment, based in Roodepoort, Gauteng. The company operates in the hospitality industry and is looking for someone to help manage sales and backorder processes at their head office.

What you will do

You will manage the entire backorder process from start to finish, including handling customer feedback and answering questions about order statuses. You will prepare backorder reports and assist with receiving and processing sales orders. You will also keep accurate records of backorders and lost sales, consult with customers to confirm order releases, and resolve customer complaints. Additionally, you will build positive relationships with customers and internal teams, provide excellent customer service, and perform general administrative tasks related to sales.

What you need

You must have a Matric certificate, and a relevant tertiary qualification would be beneficial. You need at least one year of experience in a similar role. You should be fully computer literate, especially with MS Office, and experience with SAP is preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential. You must be customer-focused, able to work under pressure, and have excellent attention to detail and time management skills. A vibrant personality and a target-driven attitude are also important.
