What the job is

This is a full-time Sales Account Executive position at Kagiso Media in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. You will work directly with clients to sell advertising and media solutions, focusing on building strong relationships and meeting sales targets.

What you will do

You will meet clients in person and over the phone every week to sell services, upsell existing business, and provide support. You will categorize clients into groups (A, B, and C) and create strategies for each using a CRM system. You will ensure campaigns are planned and implemented correctly, working closely with other departments. You will research and write proposals, update client records in the CRM, and track all sales activities. You will also develop new business, ask for client referrals, and maintain at least 75% of your clients each year. Additionally, you will manage partnerships, handle client needs like airtime bookings, and help draft contracts when needed.

What you need

You need a relevant diploma or degree and a valid driver’s license (Code 08). You should have 5-7 years of sales experience with a proven track record, preferably 2-3 years in advertising or media sales. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. You must be good at building relationships, managing customer interactions, and understanding business and marketing principles.
