This is a contract-based Roaming Store Manager position with Toys R Us and Babies R Us in Cape Town, Western Cape. As a Roaming Store Manager, your main responsibility will be to ensure each store meets its sales targets while providing outstanding customer service. You will lead, mentor, and manage store staff to achieve growth and maintain high performance standards. This includes working closely with sales teams, regional managers, and merchandisers to review sales strategies and results. You will also be responsible for enforcing the company’s customer service standards to create a 'WOW' experience for every customer.

You will handle day-to-day store operations, including managing staff schedules, training, and development to keep the team motivated and skilled. This involves recruiting, coaching, and disciplining employees as needed, as well as authorizing work schedules and ensuring compliance with company policies. You will also manage store expenses, stock levels, and inventory to maximize sales while minimizing costs and theft.

Additionally, you will conduct daily floor walks to monitor stock levels, ensure promotions are executed on time, and maintain the store’s cleanliness and presentation. You will coordinate with external service providers like security, cleaning, and logistics teams to meet company expectations. Identifying marketing opportunities and communicating them to the relevant teams will also be part of your role.

To qualify for this position, you must have a Matric certificate as your minimum educational requirement. You will need at least three years of experience in a retail environment, with at least three years of management experience. Reliable personal or company transport is essential, as the role may require working different shifts.
