What you will do

You will process employee salaries, including earnings and deductions, using the payroll system. You will reconcile time and attendance records to ensure accurate hours worked are captured. You will verify and process monthly payroll data, including deductions and benefits contributions. You will handle new employee setups and terminations according to company policies. You will prepare monthly payroll reports for management and finance, as well as generate and submit monthly and annual tax reports like EMP201 and EMP501. You will also address employee payroll queries and collaborate with HR to resolve discrepancies.

What you need

You need a Diploma in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. You must have at least 2 years of experience as a Payroll Officer, with specific experience using Sage 300 People payroll system. You should have experience with tax submissions, benefits processing, and third-party payments like provident funds and medical aid. Strong knowledge of payroll and tax regulations, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and experience with time and attendance systems are required.
