This job is for a Cost Accountant at Pedros, a company known for its fast-food and restaurant operations. The role is based in Newlands East, KwaZulu-Natal. You will be responsible for managing the financial side of production and ensuring costs are controlled effectively.

Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the entire cost accounting process, including setting and maintaining standard costs for products.
- Updating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs) in the Sage system to ensure raw materials are correctly moved into production.
- Weekly and month-end balancing of Work in Progress (WIP) accounts, monitoring production, and analyzing cost differences.
- Creating and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal controls to ensure warehouse movements match Sage system records.
- Preparing and submitting management accounts, month-end reports, and General Ledger reconciliations.
- Managing monthly budgets and forecasts, tracking spending, and analyzing performance.

Requirements:
- Qualification in Financial Management or Accounting, preferably CIMA.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in cost accounting, ideally in FMCG, QSR, fast food, or retail.
- Strong understanding of finance, cost accounting, and experience with Sage 200 Evolution or similar software.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the company.
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure.
