Operations Manager in Renewable Energy

What you will do - Manage the operations budget and protect profits. - Find ways to cut costs like fuel and operations expenses. - Approve purchases following company rules. - Make sure all sites and vehicles meet safety laws. - Lead safety training and enforce safety rules. - Investigate accidents and fix safety issues. - Improve work processes using Lean or Six Sigma methods. - Plan better routes for vehicles and teams. - Set and track quarterly goals for operations. - Oversee maintenance work and facilities. - Coordinate equipment, vehicles, and staff across teams. - Lead, train, and manage your team. - Help hire new staff and review performance. - Keep communication smooth between installation, aftercare, and support teams. - Work with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams. - Solve problems and remove obstacles for your team. - Drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.

What you need - A Matric certificate or higher qualification in a related field. - At least 8 years of experience in operations management. - At least 5 years in a senior leadership role. - Knowledge of Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) is a plus. - Experience managing budgets and finances. - Understanding of safety laws and rules. - Experience improving processes and planning routes. - Strong leadership and people management skills. - Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
