Responsibilities include developing and maintaining a compliance framework, updating policies like the Code of Conduct, and ensuring regulatory compliance across stores and operations (e.g., POPIA, OHSA, healthcare regulations). The role also involves monitoring compliance risks, reporting issues, collaborating with regulators/auditors, providing staff training, and leading investigations in case of breaches. Reports will be prepared for senior management, and the position acts as the primary compliance contact. Requirements include a Matric certificate, a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Compliance, Risk Management, or related field, and 5-7 years of experience in compliance/risk management. Knowledge of compliance systems, regulated industries (healthcare/retail), and laws like POPIA and SAHPRA is preferred.
