What the job is

This is a job for a New Business Manager at Pedros, a company in the restaurant industry. The position is based in Centurion, Gauteng, and is a permanent role. The main goal of this job is to find and develop new franchise and corporate store opportunities to help the company grow its retail presence.

What you will do

You will identify and build a strong list of potential franchise and corporate store opportunities in your assigned areas. You will screen and qualify franchisee leads based on the company’s investment, operational, and brand standards. You will manage the process of turning qualified leads into approved agreements, coordinating with stakeholders and gathering required information. You will conduct market, competitor, and demographic research to spot growth opportunities and assess potential sites against location, accessibility, and commercial criteria. You will maintain relationships with property developers, landlords, brokers, and franchisees, and organize site visits and meetings. You will also track pipeline activity, report on progress, and ensure all documentation meets internal governance requirements.

What you need

You must have a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Marketing, Property, or a related field. You need at least 3 years of experience in business development, franchise sales, commercial property, retail expansion, or a similar commercial role. Experience in quick-service restaurants, retail, franchise, or property industries is preferred. You should have a proven track record in prospecting, pipeline management, relationship building, and progressing commercial opportunities. Knowledge of franchise agreements, site evaluation, and commercial negotiations is an advantage.
