What the job is

This is a Mid-Weight Designer role at Arilo, a design-focused company based in Cape Town. The job is for someone who loves creating beautiful and thoughtful design work for a variety of global brands. You will be part of a creative team that works on brand identities, campaigns, digital platforms, social media, packaging, and more.

What you will do

You will design and develop brand identities, visual systems, and campaigns for different brands. Your work will include creating digital content, social media graphics, websites, retail designs, packaging, presentations, and print materials. You will take ideas from the initial concept stage all the way to final execution, ensuring every detail is perfect. You will also use AI tools to help speed up the design process, but strong design skills and creativity come first.

What you need

You need 4 to 6 years of experience in a creative agency, branding studio, or similar environment. You must have a strong portfolio showing your skills in brand identity, typography, layout, and visual design. You should be comfortable working with different brands and adapting your style while maintaining high-quality work. You must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as Figma. Knowledge of AI tools like Midjourney or Adobe Firefly is a plus, and experience with Blender is a bonus.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Cape Town, with a salary ranging from R30,000 to R35,000 per month, depending on your experience. You will work in an office five days a week and report to the Senior Design Lead.
